LD’A LAB is a design studio which has been active for over twenty years in the fashion industry.
The designs, all made in Italy, are born from a combination of creativity, passion and from the years of experience that Laura D’Ancona and her team bring to the table.

LD’A LAB offers its services for all the various phases that lead up to the creation of the collection, from model design to the completion of the project, to fitting, styling, up to the visual image.

Moodboard
We create visual renderings of images, inspiration boards, images of atmospheres and materials intended as trend trackers and guidelines to facilitate the creative process which culminates in the conception of a new collection.
Procedure
Research new color trends, materials and processing techniques. Our attendance at sector specific trade shows in Paris, Milan and Florence guarantee a good awareness of new trends and commercial market directions. Color palette creation and fabric selection, Mood Board, Technical Sheets and the study of various processing techniques.
Application
A model for suggestive input to choose materials, color palettes, create and design new fashion lines for collections. Each Mood Board is expressly made for the client and his/her product to best combine style, image and emotion.
Fabric selection
The selection of fabrics happens mainly through attending fashion trade shows, allowing us to keep abreast of the latest trends without losing the point of reference which is the identity and DNA of the brands.
Trend Research
We continuously check the latest sources for trend predictions as well as search for new ones, filtering and paring down according to client image and chosen market.
Application
We match the choice of selected fabrics with the design plan for the collection.
Design
We create a vision for a collection by making use of referenced styling, illustrated drawings by hand and digital techniques to reach the visualization of a collection project preview tailor made step by step for the client.
Application
During this process the collection develops and takes shape and becomes a sample collection.
Fitting
In fitting, prototypes are tried on to check for the perfect fit and to refine the impact.
Presentations and shows
We coordinate, follow and stand by the client during collection presentations through shows, lookbook and photoshoots.
Graphics and embroidery
Graphics and embroidery are studied and created ad hoc for each brand. The embroidery is studied in digital form and subsequently created by specialized laboratories.
Process
Analysis of the brand’s graphic image and searches for inspiration in sector trade shows. Chromatic analysis and variation proposals. The inspiration is born from a careful observation of trends in fashion as well as all that the panorama of art, design and lifestyle offer.
Visual Identity and Labeling
The identity brand encompasses the conceptual universe of a brand: graphic elements and a coordinated image. We build and enhance the brand identity.

Founder and art director of the LD’A LAB studio for over 25 years.
Passionate about vintage read into the contemporary, she coordinates the trend research collections, fabrics and analysis of Italian and non-Italian markets. Extensive experience in high-end multi-product collections.
Patrizia
Graphic Designer
Creative young fashion designer and trendsetter. An expert in coordinating and supporting the design process of the collections. She is specialized in digital graphics and in illustration.

Freelance fashion designer specialized in contemporary luxury sportswear with fifteen years of experience in research and analysis of style and image, in the proposal of creative design of fashion collections and of product development.
