D’A LAB is a bustling style consulting lab that has been active in the fashion industry for over twenty years. Professional advice is given thanks to vintage-inspired creative ideas and trend research aimed at the actual creation of products which are intended as visual poetry in this boutique of ideas – and are born from the passion of the designer Laura D’Ancona. This long and diversified experience, which was acquired by collaborating with Italian and foreign companies, is characterized by the analysis, study and ability to understand the needs of the many LD’A LAB partners. This is achieved through both careful dialogue and mutual exchange.

From 1993 until today, collaborations with fashion companies have led LD’A LAB to successfully cover all areas of style: from Casual to Prêt-a`-porter, from Tricot to Basic through Denim wear, up to Luxury and Couture. Thanks to its professionalism, creativity and passion, Laura D’Ancona’s creative Design Workshop is always ready to take on new challenges with enthusiasm.

The LD’A LAB team has created a perfect mix of skills, experimentation and different mindsets in its workshop: this is the real wealth of a multi-faceted team of designers, researchers and trendsetters who contribute every day to the creation of each project. This perfect mix is comprised of the founder and creative director Laura D’Ancona, of senior partners who have grown and established themselves in the lab through specific know-how and of young creatively and innovatively energetic collaborators who round out the team.

A Manager impassioned by creativity
Laura D’Ancona is the art director, designer and founder of LD’A LAB, a creative lab founded in 1993. This project was conceived during her training at the European Institute of Design. The idea further developed along her path in the style department of EQ Design for brands like Fendi, Nazareno Gabrielli, Hilton, Allegri and Max Mara. LD’A LAB is a perfect cogwheel which combines both creative impulse and concrete design, creating a high-end product earmarked for well-known fashion brands such as Alberta Ferretti, Fendissime by Fendi, Trussardi Jeans, Gas, and Cotton Belt to name a few. After years of experience, Laura maintains the same spirit and creative energy present in her first creations.
Careful listening and the curiosity to understand customer needs between innovation and tradition: all of this is possible thanks to continuous research regarding emerging trends and an evolution which always strives towards renewal. Intuitive and rational, fascinated by the past and at the same time by innovation, Laura defines herself as a “Manager impassioned by creativity” and is a firm supporter of the concept of fashion as a form of communication. Laura imagines a future of increased multitasking, able to offer “made to order” services geared towards foreign markets as an ambassador of the distinctive Italian know-how.
